Trenton hasn't had a winterguard since 2006, and in that year - Trenton placed first at all but one show and placed 4th in the State. This guard is filled with girls who are absolutely in love with this activity. I believe this guard has what it takes to be first in the state. We have incredible staff members who are working for free putting together a show. Every person involved with our guard - members, the staff, parents, etc. - are so helpful and dedicated to making this show one of the best in WGI and Trenton history. With your help, we can make this the greatest winterguard year Trenton has ever had.

I think Gina is an important member of the guard because she's always there for you. No matter what's going on with her personally, she will always put everything aside and attend to you first. I respect her so much, because she never runs out of energy, and she doesn't throw a fit when she isn't getting something right or she can't grasp a concept in the work. Whenever I'm freaking out (which I do on a regular basis) I go to her, because I know she's going to give me her honest opinion, and I'll always give her mine. She's also incredibly beautiful, and she gets me completely. We have the weirdest inside jokes, but it works, because we understand each other. And it's pretty unusual to find people like me, haha. She's so smart, too, and I can't wait to see us two or three years from now. I know she'll get into a great college (if she chooses to go to one) and be happy one day, whether she believes it or not. She'll always be a big part of my life and an even bigger part of the guard. Without her, I have no idea what I'd do.

I think Megan is an important member of the guard because she's the glue that fits us together. She's the root of our social structure, and in a way, I'll always look up to her because she's so intelligent and understanding. I'll miss Megan when I'm a senior and she's graduated, because she helps me get through the day. It'll be hard to see her go, from high school and from guard, but I also can't wait to see her succeed because I know she will. Megan, you're lovely, and I appreciate you. <3

I think Emily is an important member of the guard because she was my senior, and you always have a special connection with your senior. I was super lucky to have Emily, though, because she's one of the most influential people I've met, and she taught me to go for my dream of writing, like she did. It was really weird not to have her around in seasonal guard to do an energy circle with us before every football game and competition, but I'm glad she's back for Winter Guard and I'm even happier to see that she's going well and she's succeeding. She's also incredibly beautiful, and carries herself with this kind of confidence that I hope one day I'll be able to attain.

I think Tricia is an important member of the guard because she's very humble, and even though she can do some of the biggest tosses in the guard, she never boasts about it. She has amazing self control, and I don't think I've seen her get mad about anything that goes on in Winter Guard once. We've all had our slip-ups, and we've all gotten stressed out during a practice, but Tricia does her best to hold herself together and I really respect her for that. She's also hilarious, if you couldn't tell by now. I can't help but laugh at some of the things she says; she makes me smile and brightens up my day, and that means a lot to me. Not many people can accomplish that, especially when I'm in a bad mood. I think Cookies is an important member of the guard because she's the guard cookie monster, and she brightens up all of our days with her funny stories about Germany. She's super beautiful, and sometimes I'm shocked at how fluidly she goes through work during guard when she's only a rookie. Plus, she puts up with all of our stupid questions about Germany (mine especially) and she's extremely smart. She's in my Advanced Grammar class, and seeing as I struggle and I've known and used English constantly through out my life, I can't believe she can take that class and pass with flying colors. <3

I think Tam is an important member of the guard because she lightens the environment a lot with her jokes and her sarcasm. I love her laugh - just hearing her make a joke and then proceed to chuckle to herself makes me smile. I love her enthusiasm in guard, and the way that she is extremely confident in the way she does things. I respect her a lot and I cannot wait to see her a few years from now. :]

I think Nelson is an important member of the guard because she's Lochnels, and she loves kittens. Her sense of humor always makes us laugh and smile. She's the kind of person that I really look up to, because she's been through a lot, and I love how she can get through it all and prevail. She's awesome with guard work, too!

Now where do I begin?  She almost said it all already.  Even though I used to hate her, she has to be one of my best friends now. We have the funniest conversations and the most serious ones in the same day.  She gives me great advice (even though she knows what I think all advices really is...) and she made me comfortable with showing my creative side more.  She always is determined to try her best, and (even though she may get frustrated) she puts forth enough effort for ten people.  Also, Abbey always looks out for her teammates.  She doesn't let my stupid angry moments knock others down.  I appreciate her so much for keeping me semi-sane.  Where would I be with out my Abbeytude?

Emily is one of the most beautiful and graceful people I know.  I'm so happy that she is doing winter guard because I missed her like crazy this marching band season.  I miss talking out our new logs in K's class and cuddling everyday.  And when I have 'yellows' for lunch, I always think about her.  I love watching her be a boss and own her quads durring practice.  She's always so bubbly and her confidence rubs off on everyone else.  <3

Megan Laesser is an incredible person. This girl was my freshman & my little sister. I can't even begin how much Megan has impressed me over the years; her dedication for this guard is outstanding. I've always had a special connection with Megan that I've never had with anyone else - she might just be one of the only people to ever really get me & I can't imagine my life with out her. The physical & mental strength that this girl has is outstanding. I can not wait to see Megan perform her senior year & more winter guard shows! =]

Emily is almost like my other half. I've spun with Em the most times out of this group of girls & I've enjoyed every single season with her. Tamara is such a fun and crazy spirit and blows me away when she begins to spin. I love watching her spin and dance because I can see in her how much she enjoys guard. After she got hit in the face with a flag and had to have her teeth fixed, she did not give up; she didn't let such an injury stop her from doing what she loves. I love being around Tamara since she makes this activity so fun! =]

Nelson is my shimmy-ing buddy! Whenever Nelson & I have sets around each other, we always seem to get in trouble because how much she makes me laugh. Hannah is a BOSS!!! I couldn't believe how good she was the very first day she practiced with us.  I though, "She can't be a rookie.  She must have secretly taken part of some other guard this year, because she is just to darn good!"  She's a natural at guard.  Hannah is a beautiful and gracefull dancer and she has learned all the tosses on flag so fast I can hardly believe it.  <3 (Hannah wins the Diva crown.)

I've known Shannon for about 6 years now & I feel as if she's my own sister. Shannon isn't just our coach, she's one of us. I never realized how lucky I was to have her in my life until this past year. When I came back to help with the guard this fall, I felt that I grew closer to her as a friend, where I always felt I was just another guard member. She is so understanding to any situation or insecurity that I might have and I'm so comfortable talking to her about anything. She is incredible at her job and I couldn't imagine doing this activity without her as my instructor. =]

Where would I be in life without Lindsey? She is such a great instructor; she becomes so close with us girls but also knows when it is time to get down to business. When I came back to help with the guard this fall, she made is such a fun time for me. I felt so comfortable being around her & Shannon rather than being so intimidated.
